Cagle, Mildred Rowena Howard

Mildred Rowena Howard Cagle, 80, of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was a member of Grand Center Baptist Church. She retired from Bi-Lo as the seafood manger after many years, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Henry and Rowena May St. John Howard; son, Lee Cagle; and grandchildren, Derick Cagle and Tracy Layne.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Elmer Earl Cagle, Jr.; children, Jesse Cagle, Joy Cagle and Ann (Mark) Taylor; sisters, Virginia Sparkman, Delores Powderly and Marie Marlin; brother, Hubert Howard; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday.
