Alford Wade Layne, 67, of Whitwell, passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford and Novella Layne.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 48 years, Diane Kilgore Layne; four children, Kevin (Belinda) Layne, Thomas “Tommy” Layne, Andrew “Drew” Layne and Jamie “Katie” Layne; two sisters, Avis “Cookie” Layne, Sherry Layne; brothers, Jerry Layne, Oscar “Butch” Layne, Troy Layne, Roy Layne; grandson, Joshua Layne.
Family will receive friends 1-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov 22 and 1-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23 at the Cumberland Mountain Church of God.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 at the Cumberland Mountain Church of God with Rev. Jerry Basham officiating. Interment at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
