Mocs Host Tennessee Wesleyan Saturday

The Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball team wishes its fans a Happy Thanksgiving. The team gathers at assistant coach Aaron Fuss’ house before continuing preparation for a quick back-to-back set of games in the offing.
 
The Mocs conclude a four-game home stretch Saturday with a 7 p.m., visit from Tennessee Wesleyan. They’ll take off Monday for a Tuesday meeting with Akron. Both contests are on ESPN3 along with the Mocs Sports Network airing locally on Real 96.1 FM and worldwide via GoMocs.com and the iHeart and TuneIn radio apps.
 
UTC is 2-1 on the homestand with wins over Hiwassee and Alabama State prior to Tuesday’s overtime loss to Jacksonville State. The Mocs certainly found their shooting touch over the trio of contests.
 
The squad is shooting a sizzling 52.8 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from 3pt range, in McKenzie Arena. In all three games, they hit double-digit three-points and are an astonishing 54.1 percent over their last 61 attempts hitting 33.
  
UTC is 46-18 against Tennessee Wesleyan, 33-7 in Chattanooga. 16-0 against the Bulldogs since the move to DI in 1977-78. Third straight season with a meeting between the two historic rivals.
