Marvin Spurlin
Marvin Aaron Spurlin, 67, of Rock Spring passed away Friday, November 24, 2017.
Marvin was a member of The Gathering Church in Ringgold and was retired from Tuftco Corporation in Chattanooga with 45 years as a machinist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Clyde Spurlin and Lucy Colbert Spurlin; granddaughter, Sarah Siobhan Kaitlin Hinkle; and his brother, Charles “Eddie” Spurlin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sheila Spurlin; daughter and son-in-law, Heather (David) Hinkle; grandchildren, Emily and Anna Hinkle; sisters, Polly Tucker, Becky Dunn, Cathy Lewis, Virginia Williams, and Martha Barrett; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. at The Gathering Church 2501 Pine Grove Rd. Ringgold, Ga. 30736, with Dr. Darrell Henry and Rev. Mike Woody officiating.
Family will gather with friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Sunday.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
