Special Event Street Closures For Dec. 2

Here are the special event street closures for Dec. 2:

Chattanooga Area Food Bank Commodities Distribution: Curtain Pole Road will have closures and directional changes from 6-11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, for their quarterly distribution event. Visit www.chattfoodbank.org for more information. 

MAINx24 on Station Street: Station Street will be closed between Market Street and Rossville Avenue from 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, to 2 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3. Activities on the street include an adult big wheel sprint race, fireworks at 7 p.m. and more. Visit www.mainx24.com for more information.  

MAINx24 Jeff Jam and Food Truck Court: Park Avenue will be closed from East Main Street to the alleyway behind Merchants on Main from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, for this MAINx24 party hosted by Heaven & Ale Southside. Visit the Facebook event page for more information.  

MAINx24 Southside Holiday Parade: Main Street will be closed from Madison Street to Cowart Street, Market Street from 17th Street to the Chattanooga Choo Choo, and Rossville Avenue from Adams Street to Jefferson Street and Wilhoit Road will be closed for this annual parade on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The parade will form in front of Loose Cannon and proceed down Jefferson Street to Main Street then to Cowart Street. Here are upcoming road closings:   W. 7th Street: The 100 block of E 7th Street will be closed Tuesday, between Walnut Street and Cherry Street  from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. for utility work. Motorcycle Club Plans 3rd Operation Hero To Benefit Cleveland 100

Jury Clears Juvenile Judge Philyaw Of Discrimination Charge In Dismissal Of Openly Gay Magistrate

A federal jury deliberated about an hour on Tuesday afternoon before ruling in favor of Juvenile Court Judge Rob Philyaw, who had been sued by an openly gay magistrate that he dismissed. Why Can't Someone Unstop The Water Buildup Problem At The I-24 Cummings Highway Exit? - And Response

Exit 174 on westbound Interstate 24 is closed again as is the westbound entrance ramp. Cummings Highway is shut as well. I inquired at TDOT on Dec. 28, 2015, why this continues to happen.
