Zeak F. Shelton, age 76, of Dalton, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Edna Mae Shelton; sister, Suzie McCormick; brother, Jack Shelton; and granddaughter, Tiffany Long.

He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and was a member of Cohutta Lodge # 64 F&AM.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Eva Shelton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon Shelton and Tack Thompson and Karen Early, all of Dalton; son, James Eddie Shelton of Dalton; sisters, Marie Burns of Athens, Fannie Ledford, Edith Bates and Claudia Hedden, all of Cleveland; two brothers, Ed and James Shelton, both of Cleveland; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Green and Rev. Travis Martin officiating.

Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-9 p.m.
