Arrests Made In String Of Burglaries At Ooltewah, Collegedale, East Brainerd

A number of arrests have been made in connection with an abnormally high number of burglaries, stolen vehicles and thefts from vehicles in the East Brainerd, Collegedale and Ooltewah areas last July.

An investigation into the reported incidents, with a combined total loss in excess of $120,000, was conducted by detectives with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and the Collegedale Police Department. 

Authorities said the lengthy investigation revealed that a majority of these crimes were committed by a small group of associated individuals. 

The information and evidence gained through the investigation was presented to the Hamilton County Grand Jury and a multiple-count indictment was returned on a number of individuals:

Eddie Jevon Henderson, 20, was charged with a total of 22 counts of the following offenses; aggravated burglary, burglary, theft under $1,000, theft over $1,000 and theft over $10,000.

Tevin Quardell Westmoreland, 19, was charged with a total of 19 counts of the following offenses; burglary, theft under $1,000, theft over $1,000, and theft over $10,000.

Edward Gawayne Taylor, 19, was charged with a total of 6 counts of the following offenses; burglary, theft under $1,000, theft over $1,000, and theft over $10,000.

Tayvon Marquez Nelson, 18, was charged with a total of 21 counts of the following offenses; aggravated burglary, burglary, theft under $1,000, theft over $1,000 and theft over $10,000.

Quinzell Beasley, 19, of 2210 Taylor St., was charged with 16 counts of theft of property, 27 counts of burglary of an auto, aggravated burglary and three counts of vandalism.

Roderick Jerome Holloway, 20, was charged with a total of five counts of the following offenses; burglary, theft under $1,000, and theft over $10,000.

Malachi Billups, 19, was charged with a total of four counts of the following offenses; burglary, theft under $1,000, theft over $1,000 and theft over $10,000.

A juvenile offender was charged with a total of 13 counts of the following offenses; burglary, theft under $1,000, theft over $1,000 and theft over $10,000.

At this time, Quinzell Beasley and Edward Gawayne Taylor have been arrested and booked into the Hamilton County Jail. 

Eddie Jevon Henderson and Tevin Quardell Westmoreland are in custody in the Marion County on similar offenses.

Arrests are pending on the remaining individuals.
