Bettye McDonald
Bettye (Betsy) Webb Wallace McDonald passed away peacefully on October 27, 2017, at the age of 82.
She was born July 29, 1935 in DeRossett, TN, the daughter of L. C. and Rhoda Page Webb who preceded her in death. Betsy attended White County High School, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Don Wallace. Bettye moved to Chattanooga as a young bride where she raised two sons.
Bettye was preceded in death by her first husband of 38 years, Don Wallace, as well as her second husband of 19 years, Jim McDonald. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sallye Webb Worthington.
Bettye leaves behind her two sons, Mike (wife Diane) of Dunwoody, GA, and Mitch (wife Kelley) of Woodstock, GA. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Ben, Page and Tom, as well as many nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 10:30-11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Bailey Avenue in Chattanooga.
