Bradley County Sheriff's Office Warns Of Publisher's Clearing House Scam

  • Thursday, November 30, 2017

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office has been notified that some of residents have received scam phone calls, during which the caller identifies themselves as a Publisher’s Clearing House employee.

The caller with a foreign accent informs the victim they have won a prize, then demands money to be sent for a processing fee and/or will continue to solicit personal information.

Officials advise Bradley County residents that the Publisher’s Clearing House will not call demanding money nor ask for personal information via phone.

If anyone receives this or other scam phone calls, they can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on its website at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt

If anyone has been a victim of this scam, they should contact local law-enforcement immediately.
