William Jackson Pierce Jr. age 73, of Ringgold, Georgia, departed this life November 1, 2017 at a local hospital.
He was born July 16, 1944 in Tunnel Hill, Ga., a son of the late William Jackson Pierce Sr. and Bertha Williams Pierce. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Herman Martin; sisters, Jeane Thomas, Ruth Pierce; and brother-in-law, Buddy Stapp.
He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Kathleen Stapp of Ringgold, Nancy and Don Pennell of Missouri; children, James Gray Jr. of Lafayette, William Gray of Athens, Ga., Renae Donaldson of Winchester, Tn.; niece, Carol Bowling of Ringgold, and several nieces and nephews.
At his request he will be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
