Betty Tipton
Betty Ann Hightower Tipton, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 5, 2017.
She was a member of St. Luke UMC. Her love of animals lead to a career as a veterinarian technician for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Huey Robert Hightower, Sr. and Helen M. Hightower, and her son, Dale Ray Edmonds.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Christopher) Fagan; grandchildren, Holden, Rowan, and Asher Fagan; her siblings, Bob Hightower, Elsa (Bob) Stott, Judy (Dean) Massengale, Jerry (Debbie) Hightower; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Tennessee Home Health Staff, Health South Rehab Hospital, and Memorial Northpark Hospital.
Memorial contributions can be made to McKamey Animal Shelter or St. Luke UMC.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 1-3 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Evelyn Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
