Muriel “Donnie” Tant, 101, of Rossville, died on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at her residence. Donnie was born April 27, 1916 in Vancouver, BC (Canada) to the late Frank and Agnes Donegan. She was of the Baptist faith and former member of East Ridge Baptist Church. Donnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an active league bowler for over 65 years before retiring at the age of 98.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles Tant Sr. and brother Frank.
Survivors are her son Charles (Dolores) Tant, Jr.; daughter, Connie (Robert) Carter, and son Tom (Susan) Tant; grandsons, Robert Carter Jr., Scott (Wella) Tant; granddaughter, Alena Miller; great-grandsons, Dakota and Kaile Tant; and great-granddaughter Ysabella Tant.
The family would like to especially thank close friend and caregiver Cathy Vezina for her loving care and support given to our mother and family.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ronnie Hayse officiating.
Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
