Joanne Mitchell Bolt, 83, passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

The most important thing to Joanne was learning something new every day. She enjoyed birds, music, flowers, reading and watching current events. Joanne loved her family and always enjoyed spending time with them.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Lessie Mitchell, her beloved husband, William F. Bolt Jr, and brother, Barto “Bud” Mitchell.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, William F. “Frank” Bolt III, and Alisa, daughters, Leslie Brown and Anna Bolt, grandchildren, Robert Brown and wife Sarah, Lily Bolt Elliott and husband Drew, William F “Will”  Bolt IV; great grand-child, Eric Raymond Brown, sisters, Emily Whaley, Dorothy Mitchell, Lynda (Tommy) Fincher, brother, Brad (Sue) Mitchell, sister-in-law, Kerlene Mitchell, several nieces and nephews, all of Alabama.

Private services will be held with family. In lieu of flowers, Joanne requested monetary donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, Tn. 37412.
