Aaron Monroe Cornelius "King Fish" Dixon, age 70, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at The Waters of Winchester in Winchester, Tn. 

He was a retired veteran of The United States Army.

His parents, Cornelius M. Dixon and Dorothy Mae Shoemaker Dixon; daughter, Jacqueline Lorine Dixon; and brothers, Jonas “Dub” Dixon and Joe Louis Dixon, preceded him in death. 

He is survived by his wife, Vivian M. Dixon; daughters, Sharon Shropshire, Cassandra Dixon, Dorothy Strong, Jennifer Dixon; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel McNeal, Violet Wiggins, Dorisa Loveless, and Virginia Hudson; brothers, Monroe Dixon, David Dixon; special aunt, Katherine Stevenson; best friend, Steve Whitener; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Baily Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee, with Dr. Willie Womble officiating.

His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Monday from 12-8 p.m.
