Joseph Andrew Prock, 72, a resident of Old Fort, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday December 9, 2017 at his home.

He was born on Feb. 6, 1945, in Tellico Plains, Tn. to the late Ethel Lynn and Jordan Prock Sr. Joseph was a veteran of the US Army where he served during the Vietnam War. He was a very hardworking man that took much pride in the job he did. He was a loyal employee at Cleveland Chair/Jackson Manufacturing for 50+ years. Many knew Joseph as he was an avid bowler, competing in many tournaments both local and throughout the southeast. He even bowled a perfect 300 game during league play. Joseph will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Shirley Powell and James Lawrence Prock; and two brothers-in-law, Calvin Powell and Frank Mowery.

Joseph leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving siblings, Florence Jane Prock Mowery, Charles Edward Prock, William Roy Prock (Sandra), Kathy Prock Russell (Paul), Jordan Silas Prock Jr. (Wanda), Carolyn Marie Wade, and Betty Prock Beck (Rodney); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will hold visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Lebanon Baptist Church, at 1411 Old Parksville Road NE, Cleveland, TN 37323.

A celebration of life funeral service will follow the visitation, starting at 7 p.m. at the church on Tuesday, with Pastor Robby Hatcher officiating,

Joseph will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 12:30 p.m., where military honors will be provided to recognize his faithful service to our country. A procession will leave Companion Funeral Home on Georgetown Road at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday for those who want to go.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prock family siblings to help cover some final expenses for Joseph.
