Dorothy Haynes
Dorothy Elizabeth Haynes, 88, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on December 9, 2017.
She was a member of the East Ridge Baptist Church. She was very active in her church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She was employed as a sales associate with J.C. Penney.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Emma Haynes; sister, Doris Reagan; brother, Elwood Haynes; and a nephew, Mike Haynes.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her nieces, Donna Armstrong, Winter Park, Fl., and Ann Cantrell, Nashville, nephew, Mark Haynes, Lenoir City, Tn., several great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6–8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, and again on Saturday from 12 p.m. until service time.
