Christine Elizabeth Turner Guajardo, 52, of Ringgold, passed early Friday, December 8, 2017. A fierce, loyal friend, Christine brightly shone on all who knew her. Chris was born in Mobile, Al. on February 18, 1965, and moved to Ringgold in 1972. She was valedictorian of the 1983 Ringgold High School Class, and loved being the Tiger mascot. Chris earned a B.S. from the University of North Georgia and a masters from University of North Florida. She worked as a social worker for the State of Florida, and created many programs and events that helped thousands of people. She continued her career in the insurance industry. The world lost a strong, caring and loving woman that left a mark on all she encountered.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Turner.
Chris is survived by her spouse, Jose’ Guajardo; daughters, Chase and Elena; mother, Carolyn Turner; sister, Catherine Turner; niece, Cara (Josh) Crain; and great niece, Coral Crain.
Visitation will be at Ringgold United Methodist Church from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, with a Celebration of Life ceremony at 6 p.m., with Dr. Ben Cathy and Rev. Chris Fillers officiating. Burial will be private.
