Patrick, Beard, Schulman & Jacoway, P.C. announces that John H. Templeton and Jeremy M. Cothern have been elected to firm membership. The 15-attorney, full service law firm offers business formation, governance, and transactions, estate planning, probate, and civil and criminal litigation for businesses, utilities, government entities, and individuals. 

Mr. Templeton graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2011 and from Centre College in 2008. He has been with the firm since 2012. Mr. Templeton is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga, the Chattanooga Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association. He is licensed in Tennessee and Georgia. His practice focuses on corporate and business law, business transactions and estate planning. 

Mr. Cothern graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law in May, 2008 and cum laude from the University of the South (Sewanee) in May, 2005. He focuses on civil and criminal litigation, including trial and appellate practice, for businesses, utilities, government entities, and individuals, and business governance issues. Mr. Cothern graduated from the Leadership Chattanooga and the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law programs and has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Business Litigation for the past two years. He will continue to pursue litigation and day-to-day business governance as his focus.
