Blevins, Linda Powell (Rising Fawn)

Linda Powell Blevins, 70, of Rising Fawn, passed away early Saturday morning, December 16, 2017. She was retired from the Dade County Board of Education after 33 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Blevins was of the Methodist faith. 

Preceded in death by her parents Monroe and Christine Powell; grandson Dakotha Blevins; brother Donald Wayne Powell; sisters Brenda Hatmaker and Jackie Sue Morgan. 

Surviving include her son David (Carol) Blevins of Trenton; daughter Tammy (Daniel) Daugherty of Trenton; son Scotty (Deanna) Blevins of Rising Fawn; four grandchildren, Madison Daugherty, Nikki Watts, Lashe Blevins and Jediah Blevins; sisters Wanda Williams, Glenda Marler and Patsy Gatlin; serveral nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of Mrs. Blevins life will be held 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18 at the Ryan Funeral Home, with Bro. Bufford Hartline officiating. Family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Monday at the Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton.
