Christmas Day Meal And More Offered At The Community Kitchen

  • Friday, December 22, 2017

The Chattanooga Community Kitchen will be open on Christmas Day.  Santa will visit around 10 a.m. to provide gifts and holiday cheer for those who are hungry, homeless or in need.  A traditional Christmas meal will be served from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.  Cold weather shelter will open at 7:30 p.m.

"In addition to serving three meals every day, the Chattanooga Community Kitchen works to meet the most urgent needs of homeless and hungry men, women and children in our area while also providing a clear path to self-sufficiency.  This mission is accomplished through programs such as case management, permanent supportive housing, day shelter, family shelter, cold weather shelter and much more.  At least 500 people turn to the Kitchen for assistance each day with several thousand receiving services each year," officials said.
