Ricky Lee Carden Sr., 59 of Pikeville, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Hospice of Chattanooga. 

He was a brick mason by trade and owned Carden Masonry for many years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Scates.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Hazel Tucker Carden, sons; Richard (Amanda) Carden of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ricky Jr. (Crystal) Carden of Soddy-Daisy, and William Carden of Soddy Daisy; father; John Jasper Carden; brothers; Jerry Harden and Eddie Carden; 17 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Legacy Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 7, from 12-4 p.m.

The pilot who was killed in a plane crash on the runway of the Collegedale Airport on Friday evening has been identified as Robert Gillisse, 62, of Ooltewah .
