A Soddy Daisy woman has been arrested after a trailer fire at 1701 Apple St.

Jacqueline Kay Angland, 56, was charged with arson relating to an incident that happened Oct. 6.

The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire, finding two separate fires in the residence. One was along a wall by the living room window and another in the center of the bed in the master bedroom.

Ms. Angland had left the residence on foot and gone to her parents' house on Bay Hill Drive to report the fire.

Ms. Angland said she was cooking and a fire started. She said she ran out of the trailer and locked her keys inside.

Authorities said the explanation of the events was totally inconsistent with the scene since there were two separate fires and no food on the stove top. The door was unlocked.

Fresh clothing and personal items were found in the back seat of Ms. Angland's car.

Authorities said they have had a number of prior calls to the Angland residence.
