CCS Sweeps District Foe Silverdale

The CCS girls and boys basketball team earned district road wins on Tuesday at Silverdale.

The CCS girls led from the start and won 51-39 behind 18 points from Addie Henry and 10 from Kate Dirkse.  CCS led 21-17 at the half but outscored the Lady Seahawks 17-9 in the third quarter.  Silverdale was led by Audrie Canter and Maddie Caldwell with 14 pionts each.  

In the boys game, John Rhodes had 21 points as they held off Silverdale 54-50.  Silverdale pulled out to a 14-5 lead in the first quarter.  CCS cut the lead to 23-21 at the half.  

Rhodes finished with 14 points in CCS fourth quarter run including 9 of 12 free throws.  

Silverdale hit six three pointers.  Ian Johnson had three and led Silverdale with 18 points.

Lee Lacrosse Falls To University of Charleston 13-6

 The Lee lacrosse team fell to the University of Charleston 13-6 in a non-conference road contest on Saturday afternoon.   The Lady Flames (7-5) were led by Becca Broadwick with three goals. South Carolina Man Arrested For Identity Theft After Signal Mountain Woman Gets Bills Of Over $27,000

A Darlington, S.C. man has been arrested and brought back to Chattanooga after a Signal Mountain woman said her identity was stolen and over $27,000 in bills were rung up. Jason Rashaad Jones, 36, was charged with criminal conspiracy, criminal impersonation, identity theft, forgery, theft of property and computer offenses.
