Judge David Campbell Chapter, TSDAR of Chattanooga, has donated a framed print of George Washington to Jasper Elementary School. 

Member Nancy Larson, who serves on the Community Classroom Committee, presented Jasper students the founding father’s portrait. 

Principal Kimberly Shurett stood with her students under Jasper’s decorated Christmas tree on Friday to receive the gift. 

"Our young Americans were truly grateful for the newest addition to the halls of Jasper Elementary School and look forward to hanging it in a very special spot," said Stacy Kehoe, representative of the Judge David Campbell Chapter.

   




East Brainerd Kiwanis Club Hosts Annual BBQ To Benefit Tennessee Baptist Children's Home

The East Brainerd Kiwanis Club will host its annual BBQ to benefit the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home on July 27-28, from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. It will be at 6623 Lee Highway. Juvenile Girl Who Was Shot On Doolittle Street Early Sunday Morning Has Critical Injuries

A juvenile girl who was shot early Sunday morning on Doolittle Street was in critical condition. Chattanooga Police responded at approximately 12:55 a.m. on to a person shot on the 2500 block of Doolittle Street.   Police were able to make contact with the victim at a local hospital where she was suffering from a critical, but non-life threatening gunshot wound.
