Mocs At Wofford Saturday

  • Friday, February 10, 2017
It’s a quick turnaround for the Chattanooga Mocs. After a tough 60-56 loss Thursday night at Furman, the Mocs set their sights on a high-scoring, sharp-shooting Wofford squad.

Benjamin Johnson Arena is not the most hospitable place to men’s basketball squads around the SoCon. The Terriers are 11-1 at home this season, 6-1 in league play. That said, Chattanooga has won its last three visits and have dominated the series of late with four straight victories and six of the last seven.

The Mocs bring a balanced attack into Spartanburg.
All five starters – Justin Tuoyo (14.0), Tre’ McLean (13.7), Greg Pryor (10.7), Johnathan Burroughs-Cook (10.5) and Casey Jones (10.3) – average double digits in league play.

The Terriers are coming off a 131-127 quadruple overtime win over Samford Thursday night. Guards Fletcher Magee (36) and Eric Garcia (31) combined for 67 points. Garcia, one of the nation’s most efficient point guards, added 10 assists with nary a turnover.

The game airs on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app. It’s broadcast over the airwaves on Real 96.1 FM in Chattanooga and worldwide via GoMocs.com as well as the iHeart Radio and TuneIn apps.
