Tre’ McLean and Justin Tuoyo combined for 39 points in the Chattanooga Mocs 91-68 win over UNCG Thursday night. The Mocs dished out a season-high 21 assists in the victory.
It was a 16-point game at halftime, 47-31, when the Mocs turned on the jets. They came out of the break with a 19-2 run capped by Tuoyo’s 3pt at 14:28 for a 66-33 advantage.
The lead reached 40 on back-to-back Greg Pryor threes for an 88-48 lead. The former is making its rounds over the internet after leading the 10 p.m., ESPN SportsCenter.
The Spartans out-scored the home team 18-2 over the final five minutes, but the game had long been decided. McLean posted 20, while Tuoyo added 19 points, nine rebounds and two blocks. The first block was the 250th of his two-plus year career in Chattanooga.
James Dickey came off the bench for 11 points nine rebounds and four blocks. Kyrin Galloway chipped in 10 points, five rebounds and four blocks of his own. R.J. White added 11 points and six boards.
Pryor stole the show. He ended up with 13 points and five assists. That moved him into sixth-place in Mocs history with 323 passing Ray Trowell (322, 2003-04).
