ChattaNeuter Opens In Former Brainerd Animal Hospital Building

  • Monday, February 20, 2017

ChattaNeuter, Chattanooga’s new spay neuter clinic, 5950 Brainerd Road, is open to the public.

"The Brainerd Animal Hospital served the community for 55 years before closing in 2014. ChattaNeuter has revitalized the building inside, adding updated equipment and a modernized interior with a few historic touches, and the outside has become an eye-catching piece of local artwork with residents’ pets featured on the walls.

"The public is invited to take advantage of ChattaNeuter’s services.

Low cost spay/neuter is available Monday through Friday with appointments that may be made online for the first time in Chattanooga.  Schedule your own appointment and bring your dog or cat to be neutered.  ChattaNeuter’s highly trained staff is ready to help you and your pet as they begin to spay the way out of the homeless animal epidemic in our city.

"Go online and select the day you would like the procedure.  The cost includes a rabies vaccination and is a very affordable $60/$70 for male/female dogs; $45/$50 for male/female cats.  ChattaNeuter does not offer veterinary services for sick or injured animals.

"ChattaNeuter has grant funding available to trap-neuter-return community cats and spay and neuter pitbulls and pitbull mixes," officials said.
