Review:

Kristy Cox is one of the newer voices in Australian and American bluegrass. Adored for her youthful energy infused acoustic music, her efforts have been awarded with radio success and accolades for her talent. Kristy was named Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the year at the 2013 Australian Independent Country Music Awards following a string of top 10 hits on Country Radio and Country Music Television in Australia.

She was awarded the Blues, Roots and Bluegrass Song of the Year for her song ‘If I Keep on Loving You’ at the 2012 TSA song writing awards. Kristy has opened shows for major acts and has appeared on television and performed at major festivals across Australia, Europe and the USA, including an official showcase at the International Bluegrass Music Convention. Kristy was also among the finalists for the  IBMA Bluegrass Awards for three categories, Female Vocalist of the Year – Emerging Artist of the Year and the prestigious Song of the Year in 2016.

Opening for the New Coon Creek Girls will be the Tin Cup Rattlers, a regionally acclaimed duet composed of Jeff and Marcy Paulson. The Paulsons’ soulful renditions of traditional Appalachian music keeps them in demand for appearances at festivals throughout the Southeast. Marcy has placed for two years in a row in The Great Southern Old Time Fiddlers Convention's traditional song competition with a voice that some say just stepped out of the 19th century, and Jeff’s frailing on the open back banjo gets toes tapping. The duo has been featured on the Round Up Radio Show on WIAA out of Interlochen, Michigan and WUTC's River City Sessions. They've also opened for bluegrass favorites The New Coon Creek Girls and country music legend Roy Harper.
