Constance Pauline Rooks, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in a local hospital. 

She retired from the Hamilton County Health Department.  As a child, she was a member of Chandler Chapel in Flintstone, Georgia and later became a member of Hamlet Chapel AME Church. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Hope Jackson; grandparents, Willie and Katie Jackson, Warren and Lillie Foster, Sr. 

Survivors include her husband, Robert Rooks, Sr.; son, Robert Rooks, Jr. of Nashville; daughters, Leslie Edwards, Robin Rooks, and Natasha Rooks; grandchildren, Bryon and Kendall Parham, Alexis Henderson, and Terrance Marbury; father, Robert Jackson of Chattanooga; aunt, Hazel Shelby of NC; sisters-in-law, Mary Rooks Griffith, Sherryn Underwood, and Sharon Burton; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Dorothy) Rooks, III, Walter (Billie) Rooks, Sr., and Devon Rooks, all of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. 

Visitation is on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral servicea will be on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel with Elder Ronald O. Rooks as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
