100K Tree Day Is Largest Community Tree Planting Event In Tennessee History

  • Wednesday, February 22, 2017

The Tennessee Environmental Council is in the midst of orchestrating the largest volunteer community tree-planting event in Tennessee history. This Friday, more than 20,000 volunteer tree-planters from all 95 counties statewide are picking up their free native seedlings, including Oak, Tulip Poplar, Red Bud, American Plum and Virginia Pine, and preparing to plant them this Saturday.

All 100,000 seedlings have been claimed by volunteer planters, so there are no more trees available for this event, this year.
