Shirley Carroll, 76, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Thursday morning, February 24, 2017 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Carroll was the daughter of the late Helen Cross Gibson and Winford Gibson; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Carroll; and her sons, Dale Carroll and Wendell Carroll.
Mrs. Carroll was a homemaker and she enjoyed Crocheting and knitting. She was well-known for her baby blankets. Mrs. Carroll attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Turner of Atlanta; her sons, Raynall Carroll and his wife Elizabeth, Mike Carroll and his wife LaQuita all of Cleveland; her special granddaughter, Hannah Carroll; her grandsons, Richie Carroll, Ray Turner and his wife Tammy and Paul Turner; her several great-grandchildren; her sisters, Wanda Bain and her husband Thomas, Jean White and her husband Jimmy, Carol Cash and her husband Johnny and Darlene Whitmire all of Cleveland; her brother, Frank Gibson and his wife Brenda also of Cleveland; her special aunt, Katherine Kelley; her special friend, Alice Lee of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Friday, February 24, at 7 p.m. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Caywood officiating.
Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted on Saturday, February 25 at 2 p.m. from the Chilcutt United Methodist Church with family and friends serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, February 24 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
