The Hamilton County Democratic Party (HCDP) will hold its biennial reorganization on Saturday, March 25, at Internal Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.), Local 175, 3922 Volunteer Drive, according to an announcement made today by HCDP Chair Terry Lee.
Doors open at 8:45 a.m. with registration starting at 9 a.m. Those participating must have proof of identification and sign a loyalty pledge to support the election of Democrats. No one will be admitted after 10 a.m. The meeting should adjourn around noon.
“Local Democrats are encouraged to attend as we will elect new officers, board members, executive committee members, and precinct officers, “ said Mr. Lee. “Democrats all over the country are activated as our local congressional representatives have refused to meet with them to discuss issues with the current administration. The reorganization is the first step in replacing our unresponsive Congressional representatives and electing more Democrats to the Tennessee General Assembly in 2018.”
Local attorney and former HCDP vice chairman Rodney Strong is serving as chairman of the reorganization.
For more information on the reorganization, contact Chairman Lee at 423-304-2152 or email the HCDP atnoogadems@gmail.com.
HCDP’s mission is to create an environment where Democrats can promote the values of the Democratic Party, win elections and have an opportunity to build a better future for all Tennesseans. It stands for opportunity for all, strong families and communities, plus effective and accountable government.
HCDP is at 1089 Bailey Avenue, Suite C.
