Mocs Close Out Regular Season At Citadel

  • Sunday, February 26, 2017
The Chattanooga Mocs head to Charleston, S.C., for the regular season finale at The Citadel. They do so with a great deal of certainty for the upcoming Southern Conference Championships in Asheville, N.C.

The Mocs are the fourth seed and face No. 5 Wofford on Saturday, March 4, at 2:30 p.m. The rest of their half of the bracket is determined Monday night. The winner of ETSU at UNCG is the top seed with Furman No. 2 and the loser of the Bucs-Spartans in the three slot. The last two teams come from the three-team pool of Western Carolina, VMI and The Citadel.

But that’s a story for another day.
The Mocs look to continue a torrid streak against the Bulldogs. They’ve captured the last eight meetings and 20 of the past 22.

The Citadel is led by freshman Preston Parks at 17.9 points per game. Sophomore Zane Najdawi adds 15.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest. The Bulldogs are coming off a 102-96 win at Samford Saturday night.

The game airs on the American Sports Network and the WatchESPN app (ESPN3) after the women face Wofford at 7 p.m. It broadcasts over the airwaves on Real 96.1 FM in Chattanooga and worldwide via GoMocs.com as well as the iHeart Radio and TuneIn apps.
