Joan Reed Jewell, 85, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Friday February 24, 2017 at the family residence.
She was the daughter of the late Joe and Alta Goad Reed; and was also preceded in death by her husband Bobby Jewell; her brothers Will Reed and J.B. Reed; and her sisters Ruby Thurman and Helen Liggett.
She was a long-time member of the North Cleveland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Mike Jewell and his wife Christy of Winder GA; her daughters Debbie Marshall of Cleveland, Sandra Swallows and her husband John of Charleston, TN and Rhonda Allen of Winder GA; her grandchildren Heather Tibbs, Amy Calhou, Joe Millsaps all of Cleveland, Thomas Montanaro of St. Charles MO, April Gordon of Monroe GA, Bobby Marshall and Lisa Ramirez both of Cleveland, Melissa Spence of Stathan GA., Robby Jewell of Winder GA, Zack Jewell of Winder GA, Amber Sheriff of North Carolina and Tiffany Sullivan of Wisconsin; 20 great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law Dewight Jewell of Hartsville TN; her sisters-in-law Ann Sparkman and Aurill Reed both of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would also recognize their mother’s angels at Hearth Hospice.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, February 27 at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Rev. Dewight Millsaps officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tommy Montanaro, Bobby Marshall, Joe Millsaps, Justin Calhoun, Evan Millsaps and Louis Liggett serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1-3 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
