Kirk, Doris Kidd (Dalton)

Doris Kidd Kirk, 80, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Stella Kidd and was preceded in death by an infant son.

Doris was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, was retired from Shaw Industries after 30 plus years and was founder of LaParisienne Uniform Shop.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Tommy Joe Kirk; children, Deborah Kirk, Tammy Jo Kirk and Joann Swartz, and Daina and Tony Silvers all of Dalton; sisters and brother-in-law, Florence Brand of Marietta, Barbara and Troy Massingill of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Betty Kidd of Dalton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Henry Weaver of Dalton; grandchildren, Erin Silvers, Nadya Grigs and Mikhail Swartz; nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thank you to her caregiver, Doris Lively for her care and compassion for Doris.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 2 at noon in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. Entombment will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 1 from 4 to 7 p.m.
