George Thorogood & The Destroyers Rock Party Tour Comes To Riverbend

The Classic Rock genre sees one of its stars, George Thorogood And The Destroyers Rock Party Tour, come to Riverbend with hits like Bad To The Bone, One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer, Move It On Over, and Who Do You Love. In their 40th Anniversary tour, Thorogood & The Destroyers have sold 15 million records and had 8 albums go either Platinum or Gold. They will be the featured act at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14 on the Coca-Cola Stage.


Boz Scaggs has 4 Platinum and 1 Gold album to his credit, including Silk Degrees, which went 5X Platinum.  Known for his particular attention to high quality, Scaggs utilized the famous Muscle Shoals Horn Section and even Duane Allman on his album “Boz Scaggs”.  His solo career began after a stint with the Steve Miller Band. Boz is the featured act at 9:30 p.m. on opening night on the Coca-Cola Stage June 9.


Morris Day & The Time team up with Cameo on Thursday, June 15 at 9:30 p.m. on the Coca-Cola stage. Coming off a recent Grammy show performance, Morris Day & The Time have been R&B legends since the 70’s. R&B star Cameo will share the stage with Morris Day. Best known for “Word Up”, Cameo has been playing Funk music since the 70’s.


Don Felder, best known as former lead guitarist for the Eagles, made one of the biggest marks in rock & roll history when he co-wrote the song “Hotel California” with Don Henley & Glenn Frey.  Felder is the featured act at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10 on the Coke Stage.


Corey Smith, very popular in the Chattanooga area, brings his brand of Country music to the Coke Stage on Sunday, June 11th at 7:00 p.m. The artist that has sold out venues in the area for years, developed a formula for success that includes a rigorous schedule of touring, allowing him to rake in millions every year.  


Another Chattanooga area favorite, Here Come The Mummies, occupy the Coke Stage 7 p.m. slot on fireworks night, June 17. In what has become a tradition, Here Come The Mummies bring their brand of horn driven funk to the big fireworks crowd, signifying it’s the last night of Riverbend.


Watch for Mother’s Finest, the Atlanta based funk band to be the featured act on the Coke Stage on Wednesday, June 14 at 7 p.m. Always a fun, danceable band, Mother’s Finest will kick off the evening prior to George Thorogood and the Destroyers.


Whiskey Myers, a Southern Rock Band, most recent album reached number 4 on the Country charts, headline the Bud Light Stage on Thursday, June 15 at 8:00 p.m.


Other acts announced today include The Yardbirds, The Last Bandoleros, The Joy Formidable, White Denim, High Valley, and Billy Joe Shaver.


Previously announced acts include Toby Keith, Old Dominion, Brett Young, and the Purple Xperience. More acts will be announced soon.
