CSAS Holds On To Beat Richard Hardy, Van Buren Downs Silverdale

After a big first quarter, the Patriots of CSAS found themselves fighting to extend their season Tuesday night in a Region 3-A semifinal game at Marion County.  CSAS jumped out to a 22-11 lead in the first quarter and held on to beat Richard Hardy 53-49.

Richard Hardy's Allen Wayne hit two three pointers to close out a second quarter run and to pull with in one at the half, 28-27.  

Both teams exchanged leads in the third and fourth but CSAS's Daruis Graves would score 10 of his 23 in the fourth including a three pointer and five of seven free throws.  

Miguel Hamilton had 16 for CSAS. 

Richard Hardy was led by Allen Wayne with 24 points.   Wayne was nine of eleven from the free throw line. 

VAN BUREN CO. 49 SILVERDALE 31 Van Buren County would out score Silverdale 17-8 in the second quarter to take a 23-14 lead in the half time break.  Van Buren held Silverdale to just two points in the third quarter and went on to win 49-31.  

Caden Mills had 21 points for Van Buren.  He had nine in the second quarter and was five of six from the free throw line.  Silverdale was led by Ian Johnson with 10 points. 

CSAS and Van Buren will face off in the championship game on Thursday at Marion County High School.
