Rep. Tom Graves Applauds President’s Action To Protect Middle-Class Access To Financial Advice

Rep. Tom Graves issued the following statement on Friday after President Trump signed an executive order to halt the “fiduciary rule":

 

“I applaud President Trump for preserving access to affordable financial advice for middle-class families.

Saving for retirement, college and family emergencies is already challenging for most families, and the Obama administration’s ‘fiduciary rule’ would’ve made it harder. It created more paperwork and red tape for financial planners, which would’ve raised costs and limited access to sound financial advice, especially for those living in rural areas.”
