Russell Gilbert's Vision For Chattanooga City Council District 5 Sets Him Apart

  • Tuesday, February 7, 2017

Everyone's looking for that seemingly indefinable "something" in a candidate that sets them apart from the pack.

Russell Gilbert has presence. He's confident. His self-possession ensures me I am comfortable placing him in front of our community.

Russell Gilbert has confident enthusiasm.  His balance of energy and experience guarantees
your desire to take him seriously. He's committed ... emotionally, intellectually and physically. He exudes a desire for a sense of community and partnership.

Russell Gilbert  has a strong vision. He can identify goals and articulate his vision so that others know what he desires and that the goals are obtainable. What sets Russell apart from the others is that his goals and desires are those of the residents in the community, not the goals and desires of a political party.

Russell Gilbert has strong ethics. He is committed to doing the right thing even when no one is looking. He is a giver and has a heart for making things happen, irrespective of the returned appreciation.

Russell Gilbert has an appreciation for what is working well and can identify issues that are holding the local government back.  He is certainly capable of implementing his vision in ways that engage all parties.  He will be the first to get his hands dirty.

Russell Gilbert understands sharing. He can actively solicit the opinion of others and is quick to praise others for their contributions. He will generate information that educates and energizes the public to become actively involved.

Russell Gilbert is consistent.  He deserves admiration for being accountable for his decisions and results. He deserves admiration for having already been and is a public servant and community activist.

With that being said ... join me in electing Russell Gilbert, Chattanooga City Council, District 5.
