World War II Veteran Served In The U.S. Navy

Ben Maurice Johnson, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. Ben received the World War II Victory Medal.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Gwenelle and his daughter, Lanova Boggs.

He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Mary Jane) and Maurice (Ginny) Johnson; special granddaughter, Lacy Elrod; several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be on Friday, March 3, at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
