Rodgers, Raymond Lee (Old Fort)

Raymond Lee Rodgers, 68,  of Old Fort, Tennessee, passed away Sunday morning, February 26, 2017 at the family residence.

Mr. Rodgers was the son of the late Elizabeth Ann Brown Rodgers and James Leroy Rodgers; and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Rodgers and Clyde Rodgers; and his sister, Nancy Porto.

Mr. Rodgers worked in the Carpet Business most of his life and he retired from Mohawk Industries with 25 years of service. He loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing and he was known for his vegetable gardens. Mr. Rodgers was of the Christian Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Rodgers of Old Fort; his daughters, Brenda Calkins and her husband Mike of Benton and Rebecca Dotson of Knoxville; his sons, Glenn DeFriece and his wife Kelly of Cleveland, David DeFriece and his wife Tammy of Harrison and Lee DeFriece of Atlanta; his eight grandchildren; his 14 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Drucillia Buckman and Peggy Robinson both of Sweetwater, Martha Yearwood and her husband Paul of Tellico Plains, Wilma Yearwood and Mary Graham both of Madisonville; his brothers, J. R. Rodgers, David Rodgers and his wife Cathy and Bobby Rodgers all of Madisonville, Carl Rodgers and his wife Janie of Vonore, TN and Bucky Rodgers and his wife Becky of Sweetwater; and several nieces and nephews.

At the request of Mr. Rodgers, there will be no services at this time.

The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
