Silvers, Wilma "Faye" (Georgetown)

Wilma "Faye" Silvers, 77, of Georgetown, Tennessee, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at the family residence.

Faye was the daughter of the late Lucille Davis Saffles and Russell T. Saffles; and was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Williams; and her brother, Tony Saffles.

Faye worked for a number of years at Cutter Lab in Chattanooga as a Lab Tech. She retired from Perma Color in Cleveland after several years of service. She loved to travel and work with arts and crafts, including pottery and painting. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Faye was known as a good neighbor. She loved giving back to her community by helping anyone who was in need. She was a member of the Stanfield Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jimmie "Red" Silvers of Georgetown; her sons, Chuck Silvers of Georgetown, David Silvers and his wife Marietha of Calhoun, TN; her grandchildren, Nadia Dotson-Silvers, ShaKori Pirkle, LaKota Davis and her husband Wesley, Emerald Leamon and her husband Caleb, her great grandchildren, Trinity Leamon and Ryker Leamon; her sister, Lois Bradford of Georgetown; special nieces and nephews, Gwen Garvey, Sharon Schroeder, Dale Bradford and his wife Cindy, Stacy Caywood and her husband Tommy, Tommy "Tom Tom" Saffles and his wife Staci and Toni-Lynn Rominger; her great-niece, Brandi Rue and her husband Joey; her great-nephew, Josh Caywood; her great-great-niece, Madison Rue; and several more great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Wednesday, March 1 at 7 p.m. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend David Evans officiating.

Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted Thursday, March 2 at 11 a.m. from the Swafford Cemetery with Josh Caywood, Joey Rue, Tom Tom Saffles, Lucas Manery, Matthew Manery and Wesley Davis serving as active casket bearers. Honorary will be Caleb Leamon, Donnie Grissom, Gerald King, Johnny Vassey, Dale Bradford, Tommy Caywood and Tony Davis.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
