Barbara Anderson
Barbara Joyce Clark Anderson, 82 of Ringgold, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
She lived in the North Georgia area all of her life where she drove a school bus for Catoosa County Schools for 11 years. Mrs. Anderson was the oldest member of Midway Baptist Church and was known as the “Mother of the Church”. She was a loving mother, granny and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hilda Clark; husband, Johnny Anderson; grandson, Stephen Lewis Palmer, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Debi Anderson.
Survivors include her children, Jay (Cathy) Anderson, Gene (Barbara) Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Steve (Vicki) Anderson, Stella (Jerry) Rozzell, Lisa (Stephen) Palmer, Keena (Willie) Hodge; siblings, Billie Ann Mabry, William B. (Jane) Clark, Jenell Shipp, Wanda (Tommy) Pierce; she was known as “Granny Bobbie” to 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, in the Wallis-Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes with Rev. Jackie Swanson officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery with Kevin, Steven, Jason and Shaun Anderson, Robbie Carlton, and Jerry Bolton serving as pallbearers; Jeffery Collins, Braiden Pack, and Caleb Hodge serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 4–8 p.m. on Friday, and prior to the service from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.
