The Hamilton Heights Lady Hawks, in conjunction with a USAToday High School Sports release, are honored to announce that Junior, Jazmine Massengill, has been selected to the 2017 Honorable Mention USA Today All-American Team.

Massengill, a Chattanooga native, has helped lead the Lady Hawks to a 28-1 overall record. The Hamilton Heights squad is currently ranked #3 in the nation according the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, #9 by USA Today’s expert rankings, and #11 by Maxpreps’ expert rankings. They are currently tied with Riverdale (Murfreesboro, TN) as the #1 team in Tennessee, according to MaxPreps

Massengill is ranked #26 in the country, and the 7th best point guard in the country in ESPN rankings for the 2018 class. ESPN’s Dan Olson writes that Massengill is an “explosively athletic combo-guard (that) brings size to the back court; rebounds, handles and distributes in transition; delivers off the dribble, elevates in mid-range game; among the elite prospects in the class of 2018.”

Playing on a team with four players ranked in the top 25 in their respective class, Massengill has averaged 9.9 points-per-game; 5.7 rebounds per game; and her assist/turnover ratio of 3.74.
