Thursday, March 23
MDA Fill the Boot Campaign: Chattanooga firefighters kick off their Fill the Boot fundraising campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Thursday morning at Station 1 on E. Main Street. No direct closures for this event, but firefighters will be in several intersections this week collecting money for MDA. Friday, March 24
Ragnar Relay: One westbound lane of Cummings Hwy. will be closed from 5am to 2pm for this relay race that spans from Chattanooga to Nashville. In addition, motorists are advised to look out for runners on St. Elmo Ave. from Middle St. to Broad St. Visit www.runragnar.com for more information.
Saturday, March 25
Grownooga: Beech St. between Union Ave. and Kirby Ave. will be closed from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. for this street festival that includes free music, free food, a local bazaar, seed and book exchange, as well as a grow project that kicks off the day. Visit the event website for more information.
Monday, March 27
Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day: Reggie White Boulevard will be closed from the entrance to the skate park at the First TN Pavilion to W. 19th St. for this event that includes a supper and a ceremony to give veterans a Vietnam War Commemorative Lapel Pin.
