Evelyn B. Jackson went to be with her heavenly father on March 17, 2017.

She was formerly of Social Circle, GA, and she entered this life on February 20, 1930. She was blessed with a life that spanned 87 years. Evelyn was a Deaconess and member of New Enon Missionary Baptist Church. She was a Nana at Nadine’s Neighborhood Child Care Development Center. She worked for Russell Security Company and retired from the Chattanooga Police Department, School Patrol Division.

Her memories are cherished by her husband of more than 50 years, Nathaniel Jackson, Sr.; 15 children, 22 grandchildren, and 49 plus great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.  

The body will lie in state Wednesday beginning at noon. A Homegoing Celebration will held at noon on Thursday, March 23, at New Enon Missionary Baptist Church, with Reverend Dr. Andrew J. Bullard III officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Chattanooga National Cemetery.
