Edward Lonnie Sitton, 73, of Chickamauga, Georgia, died on Monday, March 20, 2017.
He was born on Dec. 14, 1943 in Chickamauga, GA to Mills & Polly Sitton. He was surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at time of passing. An Army veteran and long-time member of Lookout Hall Church of Christ, he was a servant to others, especially the elderly. Ed had a gentle, charming spirit and keen sense of humor. He loved life and all those he shared it with. The memories left are precious and extensive. He will be missed, but never forgotten in this life - we will see him again.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister-in-law; and two nephews.
Survivors include his children, Jeff, Jeanna, Jill, Dawn and Tammy; grandchildren, Kinsey, Shannon, Blake, Miranda, Garrett, Jonathan, Ben, McKenzie and Connor; great-grandchildren, Lanie, Peyton, Levi, Jordan and Jensen; brothers, Lamar (Jo) Sitton and James (Donna) Sitton; sister, MaryAnn (Phil) Plotke; and many nieces, nephews and greats.
Funeral services will take place Friday, March 24 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
A memorial service will take place Thursday, March 23 at 6 p.m. at Lookout Hall Church of Christ 11954 GA-337, Summerville, GA 30747.
