Bobby Dean Hickman, 79, of Evensville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Rhea Medical Center.
He was born in Nashville on November 12, 1937 to the late Clarence and Ruby Johnson Hickman; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Cleo Elizabeth Hickman.
Bobby lived all of his life in Rhea County and worked with Suburban Manufacturers for over 34 years. He also served his country with the U.S. Army. Bobby was of the Baptist faith.
Bobby is survived by his four sons, Larry (Vicki) Tharpe of Evensville, Johnny (Claudia) Tharpe of Dayton, Tony (Beate) Hickman of Evensville and Danny (Tammi) Hickman of Cleveland; his two daughters, Judy (Rev. Tom) Herrell of Evensville and Vicki (Doug) Clark of Spring City; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Patricia (Tony) Pritchett of Dayton and Molly (Clarence) Blankenship of Winchester.
A memorial service with full military honors for Bobby will be held on Thursday, March 23 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tom Herrell officiating.
The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
