Jerri Everett Collins, 73, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 in a local hospital.
She was born in Meigs County but spent most of her life in Bradley County. She was a member of Brittsville Baptist Church where she played the piano for several years. She loved to travel, loved her church, loved her family and most of all Jesus Christ her Savior.
Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Don Collins and also her parents, Carl Everett and Mabel Hickman Everett.
She is survived by her two children, Mitch Collins and wife, Leshia of Georgetown and Shane Collins and wife, Renee’ of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Brittany Collins and Miles Collins; four great-grandchildren, Bentley, Kaysen, Ryder and Caroline; one sister, Nancy Ward and (Calvin) of Clemmons, NC; niece, Donna Ward Cochrane and husband, Jonathan of Clemmons, NC; and great-niece, Reagan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Brother Johnny Jones and Brother Ken Purdy officiating. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, at the Johnston Cemetery with Gary Crowe, John Hardin, Lamar Hardin, N.C. Cartwright, Eddie Stout and Troy Crowder serving as active pallbearers. The deacons of Brittsville Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
