Franklin Delano King, 81, of Englewood, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Etowah Healthcare.
He was a native of McMinn County and lived the majority of his life in Atlanta, before retiring and moving back to Etowah. Frank served his country in the United States Marine Corps; retired from CSX Railroad and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin F. King and Beatrice Hensley King; two brothers, David King and Benjamin King, Jr.; and one sister, Marie Coleman.
Frank is survived by two sisters, Mary Ruth Jones of Etowah and Sue Vaughn of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family members.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, at McMinn Memory Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. prior to the funeral service in the chapel.
